JeansDay! the unofficial friday-the-13th holiday.

It’s “jeans day” at work.  Decidedly, exceptions to the rules in formal settings will always feel like extra dessert or staying up past my bedtime.  My ratty weekend pants in my conservative office?! Oh dear! I think I’m in love.

In honor of this goofy occassion, and the corporate equivalent of ice cream afternoons in grade school, let’s talk denim. Do you have an obsession? A go-to pair of slacks that never let you down? My old standby is a pair of J.Crew matchsticks that I’ve crawled around in and worn in just enough to be my own. That said though, I’m currently dying for a pair of EmersonMade Original Bluebells.

According to their website, “EmersonMade is a company that believes in celebrating the uniqueness of the individual, the joy of being alive and all the smallness that makes up the Big Beautiful.” It’s a husband & wife duo who travel, who make beautiful things and who seem like the bees-knees. Feels like Jane Birkin - and to  be honest, I want everything.

WeWood, I absolutely wood.

WeWOOD watches. My obsession for approximately 11 months, and that thing that I convince myself not to buy as my finger lingers over the “Complete Purchase” button.

The Jane Hotel Movie Night

The Jane throws a movie night on Mondays, complete with popcorn, floor pillows and the option to move around those comfy couches for optimal viewing purposes.

Arrive at 8:30 to grab a good seat, take in the vibe (mountain goat on the fire place. zebra-skin chairs, oh my) and sip a most delicious Ginger Snap before the film begins at 9p. Expect a chill crowd with lots of plaid, silk and thick glasses. Post-viewing, the place gets hopping, and I’m told dancing on tables is encouraged.
